There’s something so full of hope about a March wedding, the beginning of a new season, longer lighter days, and the first blooms of spring appearing all around.
As a Berkshire wedding photographer, I absolutely love this time of year. With daffodils coming into bloom and the milder weather settling in, spring is such an underrated season for a romantic outdoor wedding.
And that’s exactly what Rebecca and Luke chose.
Romantic Outdoor Garden civil ceremony in March
Rebecca and Luke had a charming outdoor civil ceremony in the Rose Garden at The Wellington Arms, and honestly, you would never believe this was March. The sunshine streamed down as they said their promises in the open sided barn, guests relaxed in the countryside setting, and the entire day carried that effortless, happy energy that only spring weddings seem to have.
Outdoor ceremonies in early spring can sometimes feel like a risk in the UK, but this day was perfect.
Why The Wellington Arms is Perfect for a Hampshire Wedding
The Wellington Arms is such a hidden gem for couples planning a countryside Hampshire wedding. Set within picturesque surroundings, it offers lots of rustic charm.
The Rose garden creates a stunning ceremony setting, surrounded by country fields. The interiors feel warm, welcoming, and characterful.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed refreshing drinks and canapés on the terrace, soaking up the unseasonably warm March sunshine. These in-between moments are always some of my favourites to capture, with natural laughter and embraces from loved ones.
Inside, the light bright Waterloo Suite was styled to complement the fresh spring atmosphere, with soft seasonal florals.
