Happy February, friends! So to brighten your day here’s a look back to a Summer Wedding at Tylney Hall. It’s hard to believe that we’re already in the second month of the year, but with these cold temperatures I’m glad the winter is going by quickly so that we can get to warmer temperatures as quickly as possible!
On days like today I love to re-visit warmer weather weddings that will bring me back to lovely, sunny days. Today I have the pleasure of re-visiting Lisa and John and their beautiful June wedding.
The Couple
Lisa and John met on a night out in Newbury where they were introduced by John’s sister. I bet she loves taking credit for bringing these two lovebirds together – I know I would!
The Wedding Day
I had the honor of capturing Lisa and John’s Summer wedding at Tylney Hall on such a gorgeous day in Hook last year. The sun shone so brightly that day! I’ll admit, it was hot, but luckily, Lisa and John chose to have their ceremony indoors, in the baronial Tylney Suite. It was quite a stunning room with its high vaulted ceilings and a minstrels gallery.
All the details made for the type of old world atmosphere that I love so much. Lisa and John have such wonderful taste, and you’ll see it represented in the images below as you look through a recap of their day. I have to say, though, that my favorite part of the day was when I saw that Lisa and John had handwritten vows to read to each other during the ceremony. That’s definitely not something I see very often and adds such a romantic heartfelt touch.
Lisa and John’s guests continued the party at their drinks reception on the Italian Terrace and gardens. It was a magical setting for an elegant affair. Their wedding breakfast was served in the gorgeous Chestnut Suite. This wedding was so lovely, I think you’ll wish you had been a guest there once you view the images below!
