When Jacob first reached out to me, he was planning a surprise Christmas wedding proposal for his girlfriend, Zoe, and I couldn’t wait to help make it happen.
Planning the Perfect Proposal in Berkshire
Jacob had a special location in mind for his Berkshire proposal shoot, so I visited ahead of time to capture photos and videos to help him visualise the setup. It’s always a good idea to plan your proposal with a photographer who knows the area — that way, we can make sure every moment unfolds naturally and beautifully.
The big moment was set for 21st December. When Zoe arrived home from Christmas shopping, he was waiting for her on one knee in the doorway — a completely spontaneous and heartfelt proposal. Of course, she said yes!
Soon after, we planned their engagement photo shoot in Berkshire, capturing the love, laughter, and emotion of that special time.

Jacob and Zoe are both nature lovers, so the Cliveden House Water Garden and woodland were the perfect locations for their engagement photos. The Water Garden at Cliveden is a truly enchanting place for photography. From the vibrant Acers and the Tai Haku (Great White Cherry) blossoms to the beautifully scented rhododendrons and graceful Wedding Cake Tree, the garden is full of colour and texture all year round, perfect for an engagement photo shoot whatever the season. The tranquil pond, originally constructed in the 1890s, is home to carp, waterlilies, irises, and marsh marigolds — a perfect setting for capturing authentic, emotional moments together.
